San Miguel County is located in western Colorado near Telluride Ski Resort with a population of around 8400 people occupying an area comprised of mostly mountain terrain interrupting by pockets of flat meadow land where small towns have been established over time such as Placerville and Norwood. Outdoor recreation includes skiing in the winter months followed by summer activities like camping, hiking, biking and river rafting along with exploring cultural attractions like galleries and art studios.
